So, apparently I forgot how much of a pain in the ass DNS was on Linux. And then I had to do it again. Bind’s really obsessive about its syntax, so I spent a long time reading up on things and checking the lookup files several times over for the slightest typo.
And then the solution turned out to be “restart your service, numbnuts.”
